Personal Expression:

This is a fun area of the competition. Contestants decorate a pair of jeans to express who they are. Include all of the fun things that you like to do, character qualities, achievements etc. Make it a family activity. The jeans are then modeled on stage during the final competition.

Evening Gown Tips

Choose a gown that:

Compliments your figure
Compliments your skin tone
Is Age Appropriate
Hemline about 1" above the floor

Shoes: Clear or compliment the gown.

Makeup: Natural and age appropriate

Hair: Flatters the style of the gown and shows your personality.

Jewelry: Flatters the gown and does not overpower the girl wearing it. Make sure we see you and not just the jewelry you are wearing.

Ball gowns and evening gowns do equally well. Make sure that you love to wear the gown and your selection is appropriate for your age division.

Interview Suits

Select a suit that you would either wear to church or to a business inteview. The suit should be age appropriate based on the division you are competing in. Choose a suit that fits well and reflects your personality. Don't be afraid of color. A suit with color often stands out from the rest of the crowd.

Select shoes that compliment the suit (clear or beige usually work best).

Hair and jewelry should be fairly simple. You want the judges to focus on what you are saying opposed to what you are wearing.
