ENTRY FEE: The ENTRY FEE is $595, with the $100 credit from the application fee, you will owe $495...! The entry fee will include a full page in the program with a listing of up to 4 sponsors. We are including your opening number dress, the photo package of the weekend, and DVD of the show (a $$200 value) in this fee. You may make payments, in 3 installments, with the payments due on the following dates: February 19, 2008 , April 2, 2008, May 8, 2008. If you choose to make one payment it must be postmarked, or paid on line, no later than MAY 1, 2008. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
JUST FOR YOU! Though the years many of the delegates have ask if there is a crown...we are proud to offer you a smaller version of the State winners crown! THIS IS NOT A MANDATORY PURCHASE, but rather an opportunity for you to wear a crown and banner to your appearances. The cost is only $65 and includes shipping and tax. If you would like to have a crown send a check or money order to Classic Promotions at the address provided or pay through Paypal.com on the Mrs. Kentucky website.
OPENING NUMBER DRESS: Your opening number dresses are being furnished. Sizes will be based on the measurements you provide on your application. Dresses will not be shipped, you may receive them at the Workshop or at Registration Pageant weekend.
SWIMSUIT: You may wear a one or two piece in any COMBINATION of Black & White. Remember that 25% of your score is in swimwear.
TICKETS: All delegates are required to purchase 10 tickets at $35 each. Everyone will receive the official Mrs. Kentucky Program Book with the purchase of their ticket. Husbands will receive a free ticket.
LOCATION: THE BOMHARD THEATER There truly is not a bad seat in the house at the Bomhard. This theater is small enough to remain comfortable yet large enough to stage a beautiful event. Located in the Kentucky Center for the Arts, this theater is completely handicapped accessible. Plush theater seating and state of the art sound and lighting will provide Mrs. Kentucky a venue everyone will love!
HOTEL: GALT HOUSE HOTEL AND SUITES Delegates are required to stay in the Official Mrs. Kentucky hotel on Thursday, June 12 and Friday June 13, 2007. The Galt House is within walking distance of the Bomhard Theater and many of the downtown Louisville landmarks. All meetings and meals will be in the Galt House East. The Galt House East is comprised of one and two bedroom suites. Rates start at $135 per night. The Galt House West has Standard Double and Single rooms; those rates are $105 per night. To receive these rates, delegates, family and friends must reserve rooms in the Mrs. Kentucky room block. Reservations can be made by calling 1.800. 843.5200...as soon as it becomes available you will receive a “Reservations Code” to make on line reservations easier. Room reservations must be made by May 8, 2007.
HAIR AND MAKE-UP: Hair and makeup artist will be allowed in the backstage area. The cost is $50 for a backstage pass. These passes must be purchased at least one week prior to the pageant. Due to space issues, you are allowed only one person per contestant. Dressing areas will have “dressers” to help with changing.
Required Ad Sales: Ads may be sold in whole or half pages. This year the ads are $300 and that includes the “Ad Layout Fee” of $25 for the Graphic Designer. If you decide to have half pages they are $185 and also include the Design Fee.
Let’s Get Started with Photographs: First things first, you will need a professional photograph. Don’t worry about a snapshot that you may have sent in with your initial application. Your snapshot will be returned to you, but it will not be used for publication purposes. A professional photographer will be on hand during the workshop to take headshots for the program book. However, you may want to submit alternate photographs for your presentation page and ad page. You may either email or post-mail your photographs, but you must follow the appropriate guidelines provided in your acceptance package.
