Eligiblity Requirements

Contestant Requirements:

* Resident of Arizona for at least six months prior to the competition
* No younger than 17 at the time of the Miss Yuma Pageant, but 18 by the following Miss America pageant.
* No older than 24 years by the following Miss America Pageant
* Female, never been married or pregnant
* US citizen
* Student/Employed Status
o Registered as a full time student within the franchise area of the pageant she wishes to enter
o Employed full time (minimum 32 hours a week) within the franchise area of the pageant she wishes to enter for at least 6 months prior to the local competition
o Employed part-time (minimum 16 hours per week) and attend school part time (minimum 6 hours per week)
o Entrant must maintain the basis upon which she claims eligibility throughout the Miss Yuma County Pageant and the Miss Arizona Pageant
o Must show proof at the end of December 2006 of grades from College if using education as your means for eligibility.
o A graduating high school senior by the Miss Arizona Pageant 2008

Areas Of Competition

Contestants in the Miss Yuma County Scholarship Pageant compete in five areas:

* Presentation and Community Achievement in Interview - 25%
* Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit - 15%
* Artistic Expression in Talent - 35%
* Presence and Poise in Evening Wear - 20%
* On Stage Question - 5%
