The Miss Elkhart County Scholarship Pageant is excited to hold its 3rd Annual Miss Elkhart's Outstanding Teen Pageant. The Teen Program is a fundraiser for the Miss Elkhart County Scholarship Program, which provides thousands of dollars to the young women of Elkhart County each year. The 2009 Miss Elkhart's Outstanding Teen competition will be held in the Fall of 2008 in conjunction with the Miss Elkhart County Scholarship Program. However, a second separate show may be necessary, depending on the number of contestants.

The winner of Miss Elkhart's Outstanding Teen will go on to compete at the state-level for Miss Indiana’s Outstanding Teen in Zionsville, Indiana in June of 2008. In 2006, over $2,000 in cash scholarships and over $125,000 in in-kind scholarships were made available at the State level. In addition, the winner of the state competition will go on to compete on the National level for Miss America's Outstanding Teen in Orlando, Florida in August of 2008. In 2006, over $150,000 in cash scholarships were awarded, including a $30,000 scholarship to the winner! Through these programs, we are promoting scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living, and community involvement for Elkhart's Teens.
